FOX has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series The Passage starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
The new drama will debut on Monday, January 14 at 9/8c.
Based on Justin Cronin's best-selling fantasy book trilogy, the drama focuses on Project Noah, a secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure for all disease, but also carries the potential to wipe out the human race. When a young girl is chosen to be a test subject, a federal agent (Gosselaar) is tasked with bringing her in, but ultimately, becomes her surrogate father, determined to protect her at any cost - even as Project Noah's work threatens to unleash an unimaginable apocalypse.
In addition to Gosselaar, the drama stars Saniyya Sidney, Jamie McShane, Caroline Chikezie, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Brianne Howey, McKinley Belcher III, Henry Ian Cusick and Vincent Piazza.
Liz Heldens developed the drama. She executive produces with Matt Reeves, Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Adam Kassan and director Jason Ensler. 20th Century Fox Television, Scott Free Productions and 6th & Idaho Productions produce.
