Amazon has today renewed its original drama series Goliath for a third season. The new season will return in 2019, with Lawrence Trilling remaining as showrunner. An exact episode count was not immediately announced.
The returning cast for the third season includes Billy Bob Thornton, Nina Arianda, Tania Raymonde, Diana Hopper, Ana de la Reguera and Julie Brister.
New cast additions include Dennis Quaid (Fortitude), Amy Brenneman (The Leftovers), Beau Bridges (Masters of Sex), Griffin Dunne (I Love Dick), Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks) and Shamier Anderson (Wynonna Earp).
The new season will see Billy McBride (Thornton) take a case in the drought-stricken Central Valley where he comes face-to-face with a new Goliath: a billionaire rancher (Quaid) and his sister (Brenneman).
Trilling will executive produce the new season alongside Geyer Kosinski, Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner. Amazon Studios produces.
"Our Prime Video customers loved the first two seasons of Goliath, and I'm excited we can bring them a new season of this sharp and surprising legal drama," said Vernon Sanders, Co-Head of Television, Amazon. "We have an incredible array of stars joining Billy Bob and the Goliath cast, and fans will be thrilled to see what's in store for season three."
