FACEBOOK WATCH's LIMETOWN
- Stanley Tucci, Marlee Matlin, Kelly Jenrette, John Beasley and Louis Ferreira have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Jessica Biel. No details were immediately released about the characters that they will be playing.
- Tucci was nominated for an Academy Award in 2009 for his performance in The Lovely Bones. He has also won Emmy Awards for the HBO film Winchell and a guest performance on USA's Monk. He was also Emmy nominated for the FX limited series Feud: Bette and Joan.
- Matlin won an Academy Award in 1986 for her performance in Children of a Lesser God. She recently starred in the third season of ABC's Quantico. She previously recurred on ABC Family's Switched at Birth and Syfy's The Magicians.
- Jenrette was nominated for an Emmy for her guest performance in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale. She previously starred in FOX's one-season comedy Grandfathered.
- Beasley starred for four seasons in The WB's Everwood and five seasons in TV Land's The Soul Man. He has also recurred on HBO's Treme and FOX's Shots Fired.
- Ferreira starred for two seasons in Syfy's Stargate Universe and four seasons in CTV's Motive. He has recently recurred on Netflix's Travelers.
BET's GAMES DIVAS PLAY
- Lauren London, Parker McKenna Posey and Karen Obilom will play the three leads on the upcoming drama created by Vanessa Middleton. Moreover, Kim Newton will serve as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Middleton for the first season.
- London (The Game) will play Vanessa King, a loyal yet skeptical wife who married her high school sweetheart as he was being drafted into the nation's premiere professional basketball league. Her lifestyle changed overnight as they became a power couple astride a world of money, easy sex and glamour.
- Posey (My Wife and Kids) will play Laila James, a cunning and alluring, yet struggling actress. When she realizes that she's never going to get ahead based on pure talent, she decides to embrace her sexy, flashy side to get ahead on social media. She finds that in Los Angeles, fame is the ultimate drug.
- Obilom (Insecure) will play Nia Bullock, a quick-witted, smart and savvy blogger, who gets a new job that she thinks is going to launch her long-dreamed-of journalism career. But as it turns out, this new job pulls her into the world of celebrity gossip - big names, high stakes and never-ending scandal.
