Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original comedic drama series Sex Education starring Gillian Anderson and Asa Butterfield.
All episodes of the first season will debut on Friday, January 11.
Otis Thompson (Butterfield) is a socially awkward high school virgin who lives with his mother (Anderson), an uninhibited sex therapist. He teams up with whip-smart bad-girl Maeve to set up an underground sex therapy clinic at his high school to deal with their fellow students' weird and wonderful problems.
The cast also features Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling and James Purefoy.
Laurie Nunn created the series. She executive produces with Jamie Campbell, Joel Wilson and director Ben Taylor. Eleven Films produces.
