Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original comedy series After Life created by and starring Ricky Gervais.
All six episodes of the first season will debut on Friday, March 8.
Tony (Gervais) had a perfect life. But after his wife Lisa suddenly dies, Tony changes. After contemplating taking his own life, he decides instead to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes from now on. He thinks it's like a super power - not caring about himself or anyone else - but it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.
The comedy also stars Penelope Wilton, David Bradley, Ashley Jensen, Tom Basden, Tony Way, David Earl, Joe Wilkinson, Kerry Godliman, Mandeep Dhillon, Jo Hartley, Roisin Conaty and Diane Morgan.
Gervais also directs the comedy. He serves as an executive producer with frequent collaborator Charlie Hanson.
