CBS ALL ACCESS' THE TWILIGHT ZONE
- DeWanda Wise and Jessica Williams will star in an upcoming episode of the anthology series reboot from Jordan Peele. Wise currently stars in Netflix's She's Gotta Have It, which returns for its second season later this year. Williams is the co-creator and star of HBO's 2 Dope Queens, which launches its second season next month.
- No details were immediately released about the characters they will be playing. However, the episode will also feature Lucinda Dryzek, Jefferson White and Jonathan Whitesell.
USA's TREADSTONE
- Omar Metwally, Tracy Ifeachor, Hyo-Joo Han, Gabrielle Scharnitzky and Emilia Schüle have been cast as series regulars on the upcoming drama starring Jeremy Irvine and Brian J. Smith.
- Metwally (The Affair, Mr. Robot) will play Mr. Edwards, a CIA agent who was ostracized by his colleagues after making a decision that left a fellow operative dead. His willingness to make the hard choice positions him as the most qualified agent for a stealth mission.
- Ifeachor (Quantico, Legends of Tomorrow) will play Tara Coleman, an investigative journalist who has turned her back on her career after getting too close to a dangerous truth. Now she must put the past behind her to get to the bottom of an international conspiracy.
- Han (W: Two Worlds) will play SoYun, a wife and mother who must make difficult choices that compromise her quiet family life in North Korea after she starts to learn about her own secret past.
- Scharnitzky (Storm of Love, That's Life) will play Petra, a no-nonsense Russian patriot who has committed her life to her country but has deep-seated knowledge of Russian tactics that come into play when she is betrayed.
- Schüle (Berlin Station) will play a Russian KGB agent who will stop at nothing to promote the agenda of her motherland.
SHOWTIME's CITY ON A HILL
- Sarah Shahi has booked a recurring role on the upcoming drama starring Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge. She previously starred for two seasons in Showtime's The L Word, four seasons in CBS' Person of Interest and one season in NBC's Reverie. Last week, she was also cast in a recurring role on ABC's The Rookie.
- She will play Rachel Behnam, a street-smart investigator for the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.
NETFLIX's RATCHED
- Jon Jon Briones, Charlie Carver, Judy Davis, Harriet Harris, Cynthia Nixon, Hunter Parrish, Amanda Plummer, Corey Stoll, Sharon Stone and Finn Wittrock will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Sarah Paulson. The drama from Ryan Murphy landed at the streaming service with a two season order. No details were released about any of the characters they will be playing.
- Briones has previously worked with Murphy on FX's The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and FX's American Horror Story: Apocalypse.
- Carver starred for four seasons in ABC's Desperate Housewives and one season in HBO's The Leftovers. He also recurred for two seasons in MTV's Teen Wolf.
- Davis is a three-time Emmy Award winner for NBC's Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story, ABC's Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows and USA's The Sharter Wife. She also received an Emmy nomination for FX's Feud: Bette and Joan, which was produced by Murphy.
- Harris won a Tony Award in 2002 for her performance in Thoroughly Modern Millie. She has also recurred on ABC's Desperate Housewives and appeared in the film Phantom Thread.
- Nixon starred for six seasons in HBO's Sex and the City, which earned her three Emmy nominations and one win. She reprised her role in the two sequel films. She also won an Emmy for her guest appearance in NBC's Law & Order: SVU. She is a two-time Tony winner for Rabbit Hole and The Little Foxes. And finally, she won a Grammy Award in 2009 for Best Spoken Word Album.
- Parrish starred for eight seasons in Showtime's Weeds. He has also had recurring roles on CBS' The Good Wife, FOX's The Following, Amazon's Hand of God, ABC's Quantico and NBC's This Is Us.
- Plummer won a Tony Award for Agnes of God and has received two additional nominations. She has also won Emmy Awards for NBC's Miss Rose White, Showtime's The Outer Limits and NBC's Law & Order: SVU.
- Stoll starred for one season in Netflix's House of Cards and four seasons in FX's The Strain. His film credits include Ant-Man, Black Mass and First Man.
- Stone earned an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Casino. She also won an Emmy Award for her guest role in ABC's The Practice. She recently starred in TNT's one-season drama Agent X and in the HBO limited series Mosaic.
- Wittrock has received Emmy nominations for FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show and FX's The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
SHOWTIME's HOMELAND
- Nimrat Kaur and Numan Acar are returning to the drama for its upcoming eighth and final season in recurring roles. They both previously recurred on the drama during its fourth season. Their returns hint that the production is planning on using Morocco to double for Pakistan and Afghanistan for the final season.
- Kaur plays Tasneem Qureshi, a member of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence.
- Acar plays Haissam Haqqani, a Taliban leader.
TNT's CLAWS
- Bernard White has landed a recurring role on the dramedy's upcoming third season. He has previously had recurring roles on HBO's Silicon Valley and Showtime's Kidding.
- He will play Vikram Patel III, the Republican Governor. Equal parts carnality and ambition, he is near the tail end of a wildly successful 4-year term when he swings into Desna's (Niecy Nash) orbit, providing her with the missing piece to a dangerous puzzle.
FREEFORM's THE PERFECTIONISTS
- Phillip Rhys is set for a recurring role on the upcoming Pretty Little Liars spinoff starring Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish. He recently appeared in Syfy's Nightflyers.
- He will play Michael, a smart and charismatic businessman who is keeping secrets of his own and has a tie to one of the Perfectionists.
STARZ's HIGHTOWN
- Riley Voelkel has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Monica Raymund and James Badge Dale. She previously starred for four seasons in The CW's The Originals. She next appears in a recurring role on The CW's Roswell, New Mexico.
- She will play Renee Shaw. Born and raised on the Cape, she's a survivor who has been shaped to believe relationships are transactional. Caustic at times, she keeps up an emotional wall only penetrable by her five-year-old son. The child is a product of her ongoing relationship with Frankie, the biggest drug dealer on the Cape, who is currently serving time, which puts pressure on her from the police, leading her into a developing relationship with Detective Ray Abruzzo (Dale). She keeps her friends close and enemies closer.
