Development News - Rick Gomez and Ashley Thomas to Co-Star on ABC's 'NYPD Blue' Sequel Pilot; Plus 2 More Updates!

ABC's NYPD BLUE
  • Rick Gomez and Ashley Thomas have been cast on the drama pilot sequel written by Matt Olmstead and Nick Wootton. Gomez previously recurred for five seasons on FX's Justified and starred in ABC's one-season drama The Crossing. Thomas starred for one season in FOX's 24: Legacy and one season in CBS' Salvation.
  • Gomez will play Craig Pettibone, a detective with the 15th Precinct who is studying law at night with the goal of passing the bar one day. Although he hasn't passed it yet, he's aggressive enough to be already drumming up clients by passing out his business card.
  • Thomas will play Chris Gamble, another detective in the 15th Precinct.

  • SAVING KENAN (Comedy, Single Camera) - Starring Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson. Written by Superstore's Jackie Clarke. Executive produced by Clarke, Thompson, Lorne Michaels and Andrew Singer. Produced by Universal Television and Broadway Video. Logline: A newly widowed dad (Thompson) is determined to be everything for his kids while begrudgingly letting his persistent father-in-law become more involved in their lives.
