In a new teaser released this evening, HBO has announced the premiere date for the upcoming eighth and final season of the original drama series Game of Thrones.
The 6-episode eighth and final season will premiere on Sunday, April 14 at 9/8c.
The drama stars Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Liam Cunningham, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Alfie Allen, Nathalie Emmanuel, Gwendoline Christie, John Bradley, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Hannah Murray, Rory McCann, Conleth Hill, Carice Van Houten, Jerome Flynn, Joe Dempsie and Iain Glen.
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss created the drama based on the novels by George R.R. Martin. All three executive produce with Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield.
Directors for the final season include David Nutter, Miguel Sapochnik, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
