ABC NEW PILOT ORDER
- UNTITLED JESSICA GAO PROJECT (Comedy, Single Camera) - Written by Emmy winner Jessica Gao (Rick & Morty). Executive produced by Gao, Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Samie Kim Falvey. Produced by ABC Studios, CBS Television Studios and Imagine Television. Logline: Janet Zhao is a first generation Chinese-American woman who struggles to set healthy boundaries with her crazy, exhausting family. When her wealthy grandmother dies and names Janet the sole inheritor, she suddenly finds herself the unwilling new matriarch of the family she's spent her life trying to keep at arm's length.

- Sarah Wayne Callies, Michele Weaver, J. August Richards and Blue Chapman have been cast on the drama pilot written by Tony Phelan and Joan Rater. Callies starred for four seasons in FOX's Prison Break, three seasons in AMC's The Walking Dead and three seasons in USA's Colony. She next appears in the SundanceTV limited series Unspeakable. Weaver starred in OWN's one-season drama Love Is. Richards starred for four seasons in The WB's Angel. Chapman is a relative newcomer.
- Callies will play Robin Perry, an OB/GYN and the mother/stepmother to four children ranging in age from 7 to 21 - and she is also pregnant.
- Weaver will play Luly, a talented writer who is focused on her future and waiting to hear if she'll get an important internship at a prominent publication in New York City.
- Richards will play Dr. Oliver Post, an esteemed oncologist and surgeon.
- Chapman will play JJ Perry, a sweet child who is adored by his family and has a wonderful relationship with his parents.
