Netflix has today given a series order to the original comedy series Medical Police reuniting the cast and creative team of Adult Swim's Childrens Hospital. The first season of the new comedy will feature 10 episodes.
Two American physicians stationed at a pediatric hospital in São Paulo, Brazil discover a civilization-threatening virus and are recruited as government agents in a race against time and around the world to find a cure and uncover a dark conspiracy.
Erinn Hayes and Rob Huebel will play the lead roles. Malin Akerman, Lake Bell, Rob Corddry and Ken Marino will also appear in recurring roles.
Corddry co-created the comedy with David Wain, Krister Johnson and Jonathan Stern. Wain and Bill Benz will direct the series. Warner Horizon Television will produce.
