Netflix has today given a series order for the original comedy series Merry Happy Whatever starring Dennis Quaid (Fortitude, The Art of More). The first season of the multi-camera comedy will produce eight episodes.
In the comedy, a strong-willed patriarch, Don Quinn (Quaid), must balance the demands of his complicated family with the stress of the Christmas season when his youngest daughter comes home for the holidays with a new boyfriend.
Tucker Cawley (Everybody Loves Raymond) created the comedy. He will executive produce with Quaid, Aaron Kaplan, Dana Honor, Wendi Trilling and director Pamela Fryman. Kapital Entertainment and Trill TV will produce.
