ABC has today renewed its original comedy series The Conners for a second season. A precise episode count was not immediately announced today - though it's expected to be for another short run during the 2019-20 schedule.
The renewal was deemed likely after ABC closed new deals for stars Sara Gilbert, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson and Ames McNamara to return. The cast also includes Michael Fishman, Emma Kenney, Jayden Rey and Maya Lynne Robinson.
Bruce Helford, Bruce Rasmussen and Dave Caplan developed the comedy. They executive produce with Gilbert, Tom Werner and Tony Hernandez. Werner Entertainment, Jax Media, Gilbert Television and Mohawk Productions produce.
