Starz has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of the original drama series Vida - which will be released all at once.
The premium cable channel will release all 10 episodes of the new season on demand and on the Starz app in the United States and Canada as well as StarzPlay in the U.K. and Germany on Thursday, May 23. The season will then make its linear debut on Sunday, May 26 at 9/8c. where it will air episodes weekly.
The new season finds Lyn and Emma beginning the monumental task of rebuilding their mother's business while dealing with financial constraints, competing developers and a growing anti-gentrification movement on Los Angeles' Eastside. They must contemplate the relationships in their lives, including their own, and dig deep to unearth what their mother's legacy means to them.
The half-hour drama stars Melissa Barrera, Mishel Prada, Ser Anzoategui, Chelsea Rendon, Carlos Miranda, Maria Elena Laas and Roberta Colindrez.
Tanya Saracho created the drama. She executive produces with Marc Turtletaub, Peter Saraf, Robin Schwartz and Stephanie Langhoff. Lionsgate Television produces.
