HBO has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of the original drama series Big Little Lies.
The 7-episode second season will premiere on Sunday, June 9 at 9/8c.
The new season will explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and the vicious ferocity of sound parenting. Relationships will fray, loyalties will erode, and the potential for emotional and bodily injury shall loom.
The drama stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz, Adam Scott, James Tupper, Jeffrey Nordling and Meryl Streep.
David E. Kelley wrote the second season, with Andrea Arnold directing all seven episodes. They executive produce with Witherspoon, Kidman, Jean-Marc Vallée, Bruna Papandrea, Per Saari, Gregg Fienberg, Nathan Ross and Liane Moriarty.
