Netflix has today renewed its original drama series The Umbrella Academy for a second season. Production on the new 10-episode season will begin in Toronto this summer.
Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaneda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin Min will all return in their starring roles. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
Steve Blackman developed the drama based on the comics by Gerard Way. He executive produces with Jeff F. King, Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg. Way and Gabriel Ba serve as co-executive producers. Universal Content Productions produces.
