After making the bulk of its new series orders yesterday, CBS has today also picked up the original drama series Tommy starring Emmy winner Edie Falco.
When a former high-ranking NYPD officer (Falco) becomes the first female Chief of Police for Los Angeles, she uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to navigate the social, political and national security issues that converge with enforcing the law.
The drama also stars Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip, David Fierro and Joseph Lyle Taylor.
Paul Attanasio wrote the pilot, which was directed by Kate Dennis. They executive produce with Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. CBS Television Studios and Amblin Television produce.
