FX has today renewed its original comedy series What We Do In the Shadows for a second season. An episode count was not immediately announced, but the new season will air in 2020.
The comedy stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén and Mark Proksch.
Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi created the comedy based on their feature film of the same name. They executive produce with Paul Simms, Scott Rudin, Garrett Basch and Eli Bush. FX Productions, Two Canoes Pictures, 343 Incorporated and Defender Films produce.
"Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi and Paul Simms have more than delivered on the high expectations of Shadows fans by adapting the cult classic for television and building a passionate base of new and returning fans," said Nick Grad, President of Original Programming, FX.
