Starz has today renewed its original half-hour drama series Vida for a third season. The renewal comes just days after the show began its new season on the linear channel, while the entire second season has already been released on the network's digital app.
The drama stars Melissa Barrera, Mishel Prada, Ser Anzoategui, Chelsea Rendon, Carlos Miranda, Maria Elena Laas and Roberta Colindrez.
Tanya Saracho created the drama. She executive produces with Marc Turtletaub, Peter Saraf, Robin Schwartz and Stephanie Langhoff. Lionsgate Television, Big Beach and Chingona Productions produce.
"It is a rarity in television today to have a series earn this level of critical praise for two consecutive seasons and spark cultural conversation in the way that Vida has," said Jeffrey Hirsch, COO, Starz. "We are proud to continue to tell this story with Tanya and the incredible cast and crew she has assembled."
