Chloë Sevigny (The Act) and Alice Braga (Queen of the South) will lead the cast of the upcoming original drama series We Are Who We Are from director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name). The series is a co-production between HBO and Sky. Production is set to begin in Italy later this month.
A coming of age story about two American teenagers who, along with their military and civilian parents, are living on an American military base in Italy. The series centers on friendship, first-love and all the unknowns of being a teenager, which could happen anywhere, but in this case, happens to be in this little slice of America in Italy.
The cast also features Kid Cudi, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jordan Kristine Seamon, Faith Alabi, Spence Moore II, Francesca Scorsese, Ben Taylor, Corey Knight, Tom Mercier and Sebastiano Pigazzi.
Guadagnino serves as showrunner, writer and director. He also executive produces with Lorenzo Mieli, Mario Gianani, Nick Hall, Sean Conway, Riccardo Neri and Francesco Melzi d'Eril. Fremantle and Wildside produce.
