During the premium cable network's presentation at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, Starz renewed its original anthology series The Girlfriend Experience for a third season - more than 18 months after its last episode aired.
The third season will be set in the London tech scene where a young female neuroscientist starts to explore the world of The Girlfriend Experience, only to find herself deep in the uncanny valley of the relationships she creates.
Anja Marquardt will write and direct the new season. Executive producers are Steven Soderbergh, Charles Fleishman and Jeff Cuban. Marquardt serves as a co-executive producer. Transactional Pictures, Populist Pictures and Magnolia Pictures produce.
