During the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con, AMC announced the premiere date for the upcoming tenth season of the original drama series The Walking Dead.
The tenth season will premiere on Sunday, October 6 at 9/8c.
The drama stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Samantha Morton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Callan McAuliffe, Avi Nash, Nadia Hilker, Eleanor Matsuura, Ryan Hurst and Cailey Fleming.
Furthermore, it was announced today that Thora Birch (American Beauty) and Kevin Carroll (The Leftovers) have joined the cast.
Angela Kang serves as showrunner. She executive produces with Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Greg Nicotero. AMC Studios, Valhalla Entertainment, Skybound Entertainment and Circle of Confusion produce.
