- Ben Lawson will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Katherine Heigl. He previously starred for one season in ABC's Designated Survivor. He has also recurred on Netflix's 13 Reasons Why and NBC's The Good Place.
- He will play Ryan, Kate's ex-husband who also has a long history working with Tully (Heigl).

- Keesha Sharp has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming sixth and final season. She previously starred for three seasons in FOX's Lethal Weapon. She has also recurred on FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and CBS All Access' The Good Fight.
- She will play Dr. Paula Wick, a smart and insightful woman who offers endless compassion but doesn't take anything from anyone.
