HBO MAX's LOVE LIFE
- Scoot McNairy, Zoe Chao, Sasha Compere and Peter Vack have joined the cast of the upcoming anthology starring Anna Kendrick. McNairy starred for four seasons in AMC's Halt and Catch Fire and in the third season of HBO's True Detective. Chao starred for two seasons in Facebook Watch's Strangers. Compere starred in the first season of TBS' Miracle Workers. Vack recently recurred on Freeform's The Bold Type.
- McNairy will play Bradley, who owns the museum tour company where Darby (Kendrick) works. It's a successful business, and he has a stunning fiancée - but also a roving eye that's currently fixed on Darby.
- Chao will play Sara, Darby's best friend and roommate since college. She's sweet and big-hearted but sometimes shows bad judgment. She is in a long-term relationship with Jim and has appointed herself Darby's relationship coach, but her own love life is less stable than she realizes.
- Compere will play Mallory, Darby's outspoken roommate who uses her dry sense of humor and bluntness to tell Darby the hard truths she sometimes needs to hear.
- Vack will play Jim, a staff at Politico who is easygoing but has an edge. His relationship with Sara is something Darby aspires to, but it also runs hot and cold and may not be built to last forever.
OWN's CHERISH THE DAY
- Cicely Tyson has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming anthology drama starring Xosha Roquemore and Alano Miller. She won two Emmy Awards for CBS' The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman and an additional Emmy for The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All. She has recently earned four Emmy nominations for her recurring role on ABC's How to Get Away With Murder. She received an Academy Award nomination in 1973 for Sounder and was given an Honorary Award last year. And finally, she won a Tony Award in 2013 for The Trip to Bountiful.
- She will play Miss Luma Lee Langston, a legendary star of stage and screen in decades past.
BET's SISTAS
- Chido Nwokocha, DeVale Ellis, Brian Jordan Jr., Kevin Walton and Anthony Dalton will co-star on the upcoming drama created by Tyler Perry.
- Nwokocha (Murder in the First) will play Gary Marshall Borders, who is handsome, sexy and smooth as silk. He is a very successful, wealthy CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Although married with kids, he longs to be with Andi (KJ Smith). He is driven, charismatic and self-aware. He knows how to manipulate and can move in any circle he chooses.
- Ellis (It's Bruno!) will play Zac, a working-class, blue-collar guy who works at the airport. He has high hopes and dreams but seems to feel unworthy of the women he dates. As Karen's (Ebony Obsidian) boyfriend of three years, he has confidence and insecurity issues. In search of his manhood, he makes some questionable decisions.
- Jordan Jr. (Bolden) will play Maurice, a bank teller who works with Sabrina (Novi Brown). He jokes with her that Calvin is more interested in him than he is in her. He is a supportive friend who is also looking for love.
- Walton (Duels) will play Aaron Carter, who has recently gone through a tough break up. He deals with heartbreak in an uncompromising way and is not very forgiving. He has his own standards for his mate - my way or the highway. Could he and Karen ever work?
- Dalton (The Paynes) will play Calvin Rodney, who is successful, hard-working and charming. From Brooklyn, he is the owner of a real estate company. He is genuinely looking for love, for a connection and lets Sabrina know that he's been wanting to ask her out for a long time. He is not bound by rules of masculinity. He defines himself and doesn't let others do it for him.
ABC's A MILLION LITTLE THINGS
- Jason Ritter has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He previously starred for two seasons in Disney's Gravity Falls, three seasons in Comedy Central's Another Period and one season in ABC's Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. He next stars in Netflix's upcoming drama Raising Dion.
- He will play someone with ties to Maggie's (Allison Miller) mother, Patricia (Melora Hardin). Upon his arrival in Maggie's life, this stranger will upend everything.
PARAMOUNT's EMILY IN PARIS
- Ashley Park is set for a lead role on the upcoming comedy starring Lily Collins. She received a Tony Award nomination in 2018 for her featured role in Mean Girls. She has also recurred on Pop's Nightcap and Netflix's Tales of the City.
- She will play Mindy Chen, Emily's (Collins) new friend. A 20-something au pair, she is a fellow expat who has fallen in love with Paris, a stark contrast to how Emily is adjusting to Parisian life herself.
SHOWTIME's PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS
- Piper Perabo has landed a recurring role on the upcoming Penny Dreadful sequel series starring Natalie Dormer and Nathan Lane. She previously starred for five seasons in USA's Covert Affairs, one season in ABC's Notorious and one season in Netflix's Turn Up Charlie.
- She will play Linda Craft, the wife of Dr. Peter Craft (Rory Kinnear), who's head of the isolationist German-American Bund, and mother to Trevor (Hudson West) and Tom (Julian Hilliard). She is a fading American Beauty rose, disappointed with her husband and bored with her constrained suburban life.
FOX's A MOODY CHRISTMAS
- Denis Leary will play the lead role on the upcoming comedy event series based on the Australian show of the same name. He was the co-creator and star of FX's Rescue Me (which ran for seven seasons) and FX's Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll (which ran for two seasons). He recently recurred on the third season of TNT's Animal Kingdom.
- He will play Sean Sr., the beloved patriarch of the tight-knit but slightly dysfunctional family of five, all of whom return home to Chicago for the holidays, hiding secrets from one another - as if the holidays weren't stressful enough!
