Netflix has toady given a series order to the original drama series Ginny & Georgia starring newcomer Antonia Gentry and The Passage alum Brianne Howey. Production on the 10-episode season will begin in Toronto later this year for a 2020 debut.
Angsty and awkward fifteen-year-old Ginny Miller (Gentry) often feels more mature than her thirty-year-old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller (Howey). After years on the run, Georgia desperately wants to put down roots in picturesque New England and give her family something they've never had... a normal life. For Ginny, that means navigating a prestigious school, rising popularity and complicated love interests. But it's not all carpool and Kombucha as Georgia's past threatens her and her family's new way of life.
In addition to Gentry and Howey, the drama will also star Jennifer Robertson, Diesel La Torraca, Felix Mallard, Sara Waisglass, Scott Porter and Raymond Ablack.
Sarah Lampert created the drama, with Debra J. Fisher set as showrunner for the first season. They will executive produce with Jeff Tahler, Jenny Daly, Holly Hines, Daniel March and director Anya Adams. Elena Blekhter will serve as a co-executive producer.
