The CW Moves Up Season 3 Premiere of 'Black Lightning'

During the broadcast network's presentation at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, The CW announced that it was moving up the season three premiere of the original drama series Black Lightning by two weeks.





The third season of the drama will now premiere on Monday, October 7 at 9/8c., following the Season 2 premiere of All American.

The drama stars Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Christine Adams, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway.

Salim Akil developed the drama based on the DC Comics characters. He executive produces with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Mara Brock Akil and Charles D. Holland. Warner Bros. Television, Berlanti Productions and Akil Productions produce.

Moreover, the network confirmed that characters from Black Lightning will be making their official debut in Arrowverse during the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover. The event will air across five shows and two calendar years - Supergirl on December 8, Batwoman on December 9, The Flash on December 10, and both Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow on January 14. The crossover will also feature Batman: The Animated Series voice star Kevin Conroy appear as an older version of Bruce Wayne aka Batman.
