HBO Announces Premiere Date for New Drama 'Watchmen' Starring Regina King

HBO has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series Watchmen starring Academy Award and Emmy winner Regina King.






The first season will premiere on Sunday, October 20 at 9/8c.

Set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws, the drama embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own.

In addition to King, the drama stars Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Sara Vickers, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dylan Schombing, Adelynn Spoon, Lily Rose Smith, Jean Smart and Jeremy Irons.

Damon Lindelof developed the drama. He executive produces with Tom Spezialy, Joseph Iberti as well as directors Nicole Kassell and Stephen Williams. Warner Bros. Television, DC Entertainment and White Rabbit produce.
