HBO MAX's MADE FOR LOVE
- Noma Dumezweni has joined the cast of the upcoming dramedy starring Cristin Milioti and Ray Romano. She received a Tony Award nomination for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She also starred in the Netflix/BBC Two limited series Black Earth Rising. She next stars in HBO's upcoming limited series The Undoing.
- She will play Fiffany, a lovestruck marine biologist who supplies the brains behind the Made For Love technology.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC's GENIUS: ARETHA
- Malcolm Barrett, Patrice Covington, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Kimberly Hébert Gregory and Sanai Victoria will co-star opposite Cynthia Erivo in the upcoming third installment of the anthology series. Moreover, Anthony Hemingway has signed on to direct and executive produce the premiere.
- Barrett (Timeless) will play Ted White, Aretha's (Erivo) first husband and business manager, who develops relationships with songwriters and producers and picks some of her biggest hits. As Aretha gains fame, his heavy drinking and volatile behavior ends their marriage.
- Covington (The Color Purple) and Jones (Oklahoma!) will play Erma and Carolyn Franklin, Aretha's sisters, who are both talented performers in their own right and sing backup for Aretha.
- Gregory (Vice Principals) will play Ruth Bowen, a pioneer in her field, the head of a successful black-owned agency, who represents Aretha, booking her into world-class venues and getting her onto the covers of Time and Ebony magazines.
- Victoria (The Paynes) will play a younger Aretha. Known as Little Re, she is the shy, immensely talented daughter of celebrated Detroit preacher Clarence LaVaughn Franklin, who thrusts her into the spotlight at a very young age.
