CBS All Access has renewed its original dramedy series Why Women Kill for a second season. The renewal comes ahead of tomorrow's first season finale.
The second season will follow a completely new set of characters who also must deal with acts of betrayal.
The first season starred Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Alexandra Daddario, Sam Jaeger, Sadie Calvano, Jack Davenport and Reid Scott.
Marc Cherry created the dramedy. He executive produces with Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis and Marc Webb. CBS Television Studios, Imagine Television and Acme Productions produce.
"Why Women Kill has had a phenomenal first season," said Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President of Original Content, CBS All Access. "Under the creative direction of Marc Cherry and the incredible performances of the cast, the series has become one of our most streamed original series. We look forward to bringing fans even more of this wonderfully soap dramedy in its second season and can't wait to see what themes Marc explores next."
