HBO Max's DMZ and Peacock's Punky Brewster.

HBO MAX NEW PILOT ORDER
  • DMZ (Drama) - Based on the DC Comics story created by Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli. Written by Roberto Patino (Westworld). Directed by Ava DuVernay (When They See Us). Produced by Warner Bros. Television and Array Filmworks. Logline: Set in a near future where America is embroiled in a bitter civil war, the island of Manhattan has become a demilitarized zone separating the two sides, largely destroyed and isolated from the rest of the world. A fierce female medic saves lives while desperately searching for her lost son. As she contends with the gangs, militias, demagogues and warlords who now control the lawless island, she becomes the unlikely source of what everyone there has lost: hope.
PEACOCK's PUNKY BREWSTER
  • Cherie Johnson will reprise her role from the original series on the comedy pilot reboot starring Soleil Moon Frye. She starred for all four seasons of the original Punky Brewster, which aired on NBC and in syndication. She also recurred for eight seasons in ABC's Family Matters.
  • She plays Cherie, Punky's (Frye) best friend since they were kids. In fact, they're more like sisters. To Punky's kids, she's Aunt Cherie. Her life-long friendship with Punky inspired her to become a social worker, helping orphaned kids.
