Alia Shawkat's 'Search Party' Moving from TBS to HBO Max

Programming moves are continuing to happen across the WarnerMedia portfolio today. It has just been announced that the original comedy series Search Party - which aired its first two seasons on TBS - will move to HBO Max for its already produced third season. Moreover, the forthcoming streaming service has ordered a fourth season of the comedy.

The comedy stars Alia Shawkat, John Reynolds, John Early, Meredith Hagner and Brandon Michael Hall.

Sarah-Violet Bliss, Charles Rogers and Michael Showalter created the comedy. They executive produce with Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns. Shawkat serves as a producer. Jax Media produces.

"With HBO Max we have the unique opportunity to continue this brilliant, acclaimed series and connect with even more of the younger, digital natives who have worshipped it the most," said Kevin Reilly, Chief Content Officer of HBO Max and President of TNT, TBS and TruTV.

"Search Party is alive and thriving!," added Bliss and Rogers. "We are so thrilled to show the world what we've been working on the past two years and for new fans to find it on HBO Max. You're going to love the two new seasons, but if for some reason you don't, then you'll get your subscription fee back. Actually, that's not true. That's a joke. We don't have that kind of power."
