Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original drama series V-Wars starring Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries).
All 10 episodes of the first season will be available on Thursday, December 5.
Based on the novel series from Jonathan Maberry, Dr. Luther Swann (Somerhalder) enters a world of horror when a mysterious disease transforms his best friend into a murderous predator who feeds on other humans. As the disease spreads and more people are transformed, society fractures into opposing camps pitting normal people against the growing number of these vampires. Swann races against time to understand what's happening, while Fayne rises to become the powerful underground leader of the vampires.
The drama also stars Adrian Holmes, Laura Vandervoort, Jacky Lai, Kyle Breitkopf, Kimberly-Sue Murray and Peter Outerbridge.
William Laurin and Glenn Davis are developed the drama. They executive produce with Eric Birnberg, Thomas Walden, David Ozer, Ted Adams, James Gibb and director Brad Turner. IDW Entertainment, Marada Pictures and High Park Entertainment produce.
