Epix has today given a series order to the original drama series Jerusalem's Lot starring Academy Award winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist, Peaky Blinders). Production on the 10-episode season will begin in May in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Set in the 1850s, Captain Charles Boone (Brody) relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the sleepy town of Preacher's Corners, Maine, after his wife dies at sea. Once there, he confronts the secrets of his family's sordid history and fight to end the darkness that has plagued them for generations.
Jason and Peter Filardi developed the based on the 1978 short story by Stephen King. They will executive produce with Donald De Line. Epix Productions will produce.
