HBO and Sky are teaming for the four-part original limited series Landscapers starring Academy Award winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite, The Crown).
Inspired by real events, Susan and Christopher Edwards are a mild-mannered couple from Mansfield in the U.K. who killed Susan's parents in 1998 and buried them in their back garden. The crime remained undiscovered for over a decade before their convictions and jailing in 2014.
Colman's husband Ed Sinclair is writing the series, with Alexander Payne (The Descendants, Nebraska) directing. They will executive produce with Colman, Serena Thompson, Jane Featherstone and Chris Fry. Katie Carpenter serves as a producer. South of the River Pictures will produce in association with HBO and Sky.
"I love Ed's scripts, which is just as well as he cooks many of my meals," said Colman. "No, the truth is it's quite rare to be desperate to play a part on the first reading of a script, but that was the case here. The writing is brave, but subtle and tender too - a joy for any actor."
