CBS' The Lincoln Lawyer & The Three of Us; FOX's The Big Leap & This Country; and NBC's American Auto & Jefferies.
CBS' THE THREE OF US
- Oliver Hudson and Malin Akerman will play two of the lead roles on the comedy pilot written by Frank Pines. Hudson starred for seven seasons in CBS' Rules of Engagement, three seasons in ABC's Nashville and two seasons in ABC's Splitting Up Together. Akerman starred for six seasons in Adult Swim's Childrens Hospital and three seasons in Showtime's Billions.
- Hudson will play Will, the worrier of the family. He has always been protective of his little brother and sister. Clever and perceptive, he has a problematic need to help "father" everyone around him. So when his sister's husband dumps her, his instincts kick in and moves her into his house.
- Akerman will play Aly, the smart and resilient middle sibling to two brothers. She is thought of as the most "normal" and sensible one in the family, but also plagued with the worst luck. Her latest catastrophe is her husband just left her and she finds herself dealing with being a single mom to an 8-year-old son and having to move in with her big brother and his wife.
NBC's JEFFERIES
- Betsy Brandt is set as the female lead on the comedy pilot starring Jim Jefferies. Darien Sills-Evans and Mike Lane have also been cast in the pilot today. Brandt starred for five seasons in AMC's Breaking Bad and four seasons in CBS' Life in Pieces. Sills-Evans starred in the first season of CBS' Superior Donuts. Lane recurred on Lifetime's American Princess.
- Brandt will play Cleo, Jim's (Jefferies) best friend and mother of his child.
- No details were immediately released about the characters Sills-Evans and Lane will be playing.
FOX's THIS COUNTRY
- Seann William Scott is returning to FOX with a series regular role on the comedy pilot written by Jenny Bicks. He previously starred in the third season of Lethal Weapon, replacing Clayne Crawford as the co-lead opposite Damon Wayans.
- He will play Father Joe, a recent transplant from Minneapolis who's doing the best he can with what he's got. He's a community leader in Flatch, Ohio and a father figure to Kelly and Shrub. Though they often test his patience, he's revolved to stay an optimist and a role model.
NBC's AMERICAN AUTO
- Ana Gasteyer has been cast in the lead role on the comedy pilot written by Justin Spitzer. She previously starred for six seasons in NBC's Saturday Night Live, two seasons in Netflix's Lady Dynamite and two seasons in TBS' People of Earth. She recently appeared in the second season of FOX's The Masked Singer.
- She will play Katherine Hastings, the CEO at Payne Motors.
CBS' THE LINCOLN LAWYER
- Jazz Raycole will co-star on the drama pilot (which has a series commitment) written by David E. Kelley. She previously starred for two seasons in BET's The Quad and appeared in the Freeform movie Ghosting: The Spirit of Christmas.
- She will play Izzy, Mickey's client, a young former addict charged with grand larceny for stealing a necklace to support her habit. She's clean now - a fact that Mickey can relate to - and he not only gets her acquitted but lets her pay off her bill by working as his driver.
FOX's THE BIG LEAP
- Teri Polo, Ray Cham, Ser'Darius Blain and Matt Lucas have joined the cast of the drama pilot written by Liz Heldens. Polo starred for five seasons in Freeform's The Foster and has recurred on its spinoff Good Trouble. Cham is a relative newcomer. Blain starred in the first season of The CW's Charmed. Lucas starred in the tenth series of BBC One's Doctor Who.
- Polo will play Julia Torrence, a beautiful former ballerina. She is now a social media-obsessed mom who focuses more on her Instagram than her moody teenage girls or her distant husband, Kevin. When she sees the chance to audition for The Big Leap, it feels like a chance to fill what feels like a hollow, art-free life.
- Cham will play Justin Reyes, Gabby's adorable high school boyfriend and dance partner, who came out of the closet to nobody's surprise except Gabby and his parents, who kicked him out. He works at a big box store to support himself now. When Gabby shows up and tells him about the dance contest, he catches the spark and gets excited to dance again too.
- Blain will play Reggie Sadler, a stunning specimen of humanity. He is a gorgeous, famous, athletic, professional football player. He has demonstrated some erratic behavior and needs to take a break from the sport. He decides that some career rehab is in order and finds himself learning to dance so he can audition to be on The Big Leap.
- Lucas will play Wayne Sleep, a joyful British fellow who is one of the co-hosts of The Big Leap. He is a former dancer and is entertaining, enthusiastic and encouraging.
