'Love, Simon' Spinoff Series 'Love, Victor' Moves from Disney+ to Hulu

The upcoming television series spinoff to the 2018 feature film Love, Simon - which has now officially been titled Love, Victor - is moving from Disney+ to Hulu. The move comes as Disney+ thought the adult themes of the new series better suited Hulu instead of the family-focused identity of Disney+.

The 10-episode first season recently wrapped production and will debut on Hulu in June 2020 to coincide with LGBTQ Pride month. A writers' room for a second season has already been commissioned, though a formal renewal has not been confirmed.

The series centers on Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School - the school feature in the movie - on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city and struggling with his sexual orientation.

The cast includes Michael Cimino, Ana Ortiz, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, Bebe Wood, George Sear, Anthony Turpel, Mason Gooding and Rachel Naomi Hilson.

Nick Robinson reprises his role from the film as the narrator of the new series.

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger developed the series. They executive produce with Robinson, Brian Tanen, Marty Bowen, Isaac Klausner, Pouya Shahbazain, Jason Ensler, Adam Fishbach, Wyck Godfrey and director Amy York Rubin. 20th Century Fox Television and Temple Hill Entertainment produce.
