Starz Solidifies 'Power' Expanation Plans with Four Spinoffs Confirmed

Ahead of its series finale tonight, Starz has confirmed today that four spinoffs of its original drama series Power will be produced from series creator Courtney A. Kemp.

"In television history, only a select few shows have inspired four consecutive series extensions, launched into active production and development at the same time," said Jeffrey Hirsch, President and CEO, Starz. "These new and exciting chapters will continue the journey of some of Power's most controversial characters while featuring a growing ensemble of complex, distinct characters along with the high-octane drama that set Power in a class of its own."

Power Book II: Ghost - starring Mary J. Blige and Method Man - will pick up where the original series concludes.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan will be set in the 1990s and explore the early years of Kanan Stark - played by executive producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.

Power Book IV: Influence will follow Rashad Tate (Larenz Tate) in his ruthless pursuit of power in the political arena.

Power Book V: Force will follow Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) as he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good.

All four dramas will be executive produced by Kemp, 50 Cent, Mark Canton, Chris Salek, Danielle DeJesus, Shana Stein and Bart Wenrich. Lionsgate Television, End of Episode and G-Unit Film & Television will produce.
