Syfy has today given series orders to the original drama series Day of the Dead and The Surrealtor. Both dramas will launch in 2021 with 10-episode seasons.
Day of the Dead follows six strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion.
Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas developed the drama. They will executive produce with Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, Robert Dudelson, James Dudelson and Jordan Kizwani. Cartel Entertainment and HiTide Studios will produce.
The Surrealtor revolves around real estate agent Nick Roman and an elite team of specialists who handle the cases that no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Researching, investigating and "fixing" the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure - and closings - as they struggle with demons of their own.
George Olson created the drama. He will executive produce with Lance Samuels and Daniel Iron. Blue Ice Pictures will produce.
