Amazon has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming original comedy series Upload starring Robbie Amell and Andy Allo.
All 8 episodes of the first season will be available on Friday, May 1.
Set in 2033 where people who are near death can be "uploaded" into a virtual afterlife of their choice, the secretly romantic Brooklyn-born Nora (Allo) works customer service for a luxurious virtual reality environment. When handsome L.A. party boy Nathan's (Amell) self-driving car crashes, his high-maintenance girlfriend uploads him permanently into Nora's VR world.
The cast also features Kevin Bigley, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, Elizabeth Bowen, Owen Daniels and William B. Davis.
Greg Daniels created the comedy and also directs. He executive produces with Howard Klein. Amazon Studios produces.
