Amazon Picks Up Season 2 of 'Flack' Following Pop Cancellation

Amazon has today picked up the rights to the second season of the original drama series Flack. The first season of the drama aired stateside on Pop, where it was renewed for the second season but pulled from the schedule due to a shift in original programming strategy.

The drama stars Anna Paquin, Sophie Okonedo, Lydia Wilson, Rebecca Benson, Genevieve Angelson, Rufus Jones and Arinze Kene.

Guest stars in the second season include Sam Neill, Daniel Dae Kim, Martha Plimpton, Jane Horrocks, Giles Terera and Amanda Abbington.

Oliver Lansley created the drama. He executive produces with Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Cerise Hallam Larkin, Mark Larkin and Debs Pisani. Hat Trick Productions and CASM Films produce.

The 6-episode second season was originally scheduled to debut on Pop on March 13, 2020. A week prior though, the cable outlet decided to halt production on a number of series as a result of the Viacom-CBS merger. Comedy Florida Girls was also dropped after previously being renewed for a second season. Meanwhile, new comedy Best Intentions was slated to begin production this spring but was also scrapped.

Amazon has not set a date for the release of the new season.
