CBS All Access has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming third season of the original drama series Star Trek: Discovery.
The 13-episode third season will premiere on Thursday, October 15, with new episodes being released weekly every Thursday.
After following Commander Burnham into the wormhole, the new season finds the U.S.S. Discovery crew landing into an unknown future far from the home they once knew. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the crew, along with the help of some new friends, must work together to restore hope to the Federation.
The drama stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, David Ajala and Michelle Yeoh.
Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise serve as showrunners for the third season. CBS Television Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment produce.
