HULU's NINE PERFECT STRANGERS
- Regina Hall has joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy. She currently stars in Showtime's Black Monday, which concluded its second season last month and is awaiting word on its future.
- She will play Carmel, one of the nine "perfect" strangers.
NBC's CONNECTING
- Keith Powell, Jill Knox, Shakina Nayfack, Ely Henry and Preacher Lawson will co-star on the upcoming remotely-shot comedy created by Martin Gero and Brendan Gall. Powell and Knox are married in real-life. Nayfack starred for one season in Hulu's Difficult People. Henry has recurred on ABC's Suburgatory and Showtime's Roadies. Lawson competed on the twelfth season of NBC's America's Got Talent.
- Powell and Knox will play Garrett and Michelle, husband and wife who are thriving in quarantine.
- Nayfack will play Ellis, a pragmatic, type-A and a huge Clippers fan.
- Henry will play Rufus, paranoid and conspiracy minded, he's more comfortable online than off.
- Lawson will play Ben, whose girlfriend broke up with him just before the pandemic started. He is debating whether to take her back.
