In a significant change to its programming strategy, British drama series Gangs of London and The Salisbury Poisonings will debut on AMC's streaming service AMC+ this fall before making their linear debut in 2021.
Both series will premiere on the streaming platform on Thursday, October 1. All three episodes of The Salisbury Poisonings will be available then, while the first three episodes of Gangs of London will launch followed by the remaining episodes rolling out weekly.
Gangs of London tells the story of a city being torn apart by the turbulent power struggles of the international gangs that control it. A sudden power vacuum is created when the head of London's most powerful crime family is assassinated.
The drama stars Joe Cole, Sope Dirisu, Colm Meaney, Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Paapa Essiedu and Pippa Bennett-Warner.
Gareth Evans created the drama. He executive produces with Matt Flannery, Thomas Benski, Lucas Ochoa, Jane Featherstone and Gabriel Silver. Sky Studios, Pulse Films and Sister Pictures produce.
The Salisbury Poisonings follows the fallout from the nerve agent attack in Salisbury in March 2018 from the perspective of local heroes who managed and were victims of the poisoning.
The cast includes Anne-Marie Duff, Rafe Spall, MyAnna Buring, Mark Addy, Annabel Scholey, Darren Boyd, Nigel Lindsay, Clare Burt, Ron Cook, Stella Gonet, Andrew Brooke, William Houston, Jonathan Slinger and Johnny Harris.
Adam Patterson and Declan Lawn wrote the series, with Saul Dibb directing. Fremantle and Dancing Ledge Productions produce.
