Casting News - Billy Burke to Co-Star on Netflix's 'Maid'; Syfy's 'Day of the Dead' Casts Keenan Tracey and Daniel Doheny

Netflix's Maid and Syfy's Day of the Dead.






SYFY's DAY OF THE DEAD
  • Keenan Tracey, Daniel Doheny, Natalie Malaika, Morgan Holmstrom and Kristy Dinsmore have been cast on the upcoming drama created by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. Tracey previously recurred on The CW's The 100 and A&E's Bates Motel. Doheny starred in the Netflix film Alex Strangelove. Malaika starred in the Lifetime film Stolen By My Mother: The Kamiyah Mobley Story. Holmstrom appeared in the Lifetime film Snowed-Inn Christmas. Dinsmore has recurred on History's Vikings.
  • Tracey will play Cam McDermott, a high school senior and son of a local police detective who spends his free time working odd jobs to get out of his small Pennsylvania hometown.
  • Doheny will play Luke Bowmna, the son of the town mayor.
  • Malaika will play Lauren Howell, a sarcastic assistant mortician at the local mortuary.
  • Holmstrom will play Sarah Blackwood, former Special Forces now working on a fracking crew outside of town. She discovers a mysterious body which plunges her into the middle of a zombie invasion.
  • Dinsmore will play Amy, a life coach and daughter of the town doctor. When the dead start to rise, she begins a transformation as she fights for survival.
NETFLIX's MAID
  • Billy Burke will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Margaret Qualley and Nick Robinson. He previously starred for two seasons in NBC's Revolution and three seasons in CBS' Zoo. He has also recurred on TNT's Major Crimes and FOX's 9-1-1: Lone Star.
  • He will play Han, Alex's (Qualley) father and Paula's (Andie MacDowell) ex-husband. A contractor whose life and career was hard hit by alcoholism and the recession, he has survived by becoming deeply religious and sobering up. Now remarried with twins, he denies any of the darkness in his past.
