Spectrum Orders 6 Episodes of Drama 'The Second Wave' Starring Audra McDonald, Taylor Schilling and Steven Pasquale

Spectrum has today given a series order to the drama series The Second Wave starring Audra McDonald (The Good Fight), Taylor Schilling (Orange Is the New Black) and Steven Pasquale (The Comey Rule). Production will begin shortly on the six-episode season.

Set amidst an unexpected, deadly second wave of the coronavirus outbreak in New York City, two neighbors, Rachel (McDonald) and Lily (Schilling), navigate life in quarantine. While Rachel juggles her many telemedicine clients as well as a shaky, passionless marriage, Lily is upstairs just trying to convince her Wall Street clientele that her very specific skillset is still just as valuable over video as it was in person. These two women face unprecedented times while still juggling their careers, their loved ones, and possibly the end of the world?

Pasquale will play Dr. Zach, Rachel's husband, a top official at the CDC who is stuck between the medicine he knows and the politics thrust upon him.

Robert and Michelle King (The Good Wife, The Good Fight) created the drama. They will executive produce with Liz Glotzer and Brooke Kennedy. Spectrum Originals, CBS Television Studios and King Size Productions will produce.
