Casting News - November 19, 2020

AMC's The Walking Dead; The CW's All American; Disney+'s Big Shot; Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers; Netflix's Cowboy Bebop; and Starz's Hightown.

NETFLIX's COWBOY BEBOP
  • Geoff Stults, Tamara Tunie, Mason Alexander Park, Rachel House, Ann Truong and Hoa Xuande have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring John Cho. Stults recently recurred on Hulu's Little Fires Everywhere. Tunie starred for six seasons in NBC's Law & Order: SVU. Park appeared in the National Broadway tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. House starred in the Netflix limited series Stateless. Truong has recurred on Cinemax's Strike Back. Xuande has guest starred on SundanceTV's Top of the Lake and Cleverman.
  • Stults will play Chalmers, the epitome of a Western lawman. He is also Jet Black's (Mustafa Shakir) former co-detective in the ISSP's Homicide Division. He wears a chronic smile that makes you want to punch him square in the face - especially Jet. And that's only partly because Chalmers is dating his ex-wife these days.
  • Tunie will play Ana, the proprietor of the hottest underground bluesy jazz club on Mars. And while she acts as a surrogate mother to Spike (Cho), there is nothing warm and cuddly about her. Cool and intense, she is definitely not a woman to be trifled with.
  • Park will play Gren, Ana's right-hand person. They run the front of the house for Ana's jazz club. As capable with their wit as a glock, as confident in a dress as a suit, they are a Bowie-esque embodiment of 22nd century handsome and seductive beauty.
  • House will play Mao, the Capo of the Syndicate's "White Tigers" family. Despite, or perhaps because of, her blue collar background, she is more cunning, adept, crafty and deadly than her counterparts.
  • Truong and Xuande will play Shin and Lin. Dressed to kill (because they do), they serve as Vicious' (Alex Hassell) twin Syndicate henchman. Despite being fearful of their volatile boss, they are fiercely loyal to Vicious in his quest to take down Spike.
STARZ's HIGHTOWN
  • Luis Guzmán, Jona Xiao, Charline St. Charles and Dominic L. Santana have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Guzmán starred for three seasons in CBS' Code Black and one season in Epix's Perpetual Grace, LTD. Xiao has previously recurred on AMC's Halt and Catch Fire and BET's Being Mary Jane. St. Charles' guest credits include FOX's The Resident, OWN's David Makes Man and BET's American Soul. Santana recurred on USA's Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.
  • Guzmán will play Jorge Cuevas, Frankie's (Amaury Nolasco) cousin, a charming and hilarious yet dangerous sociopath.
  • Xiao will play Daisy, a stripper at Xavier's. Bubbly and working class with a hard edge, she's got swag and can handle herself.
  • St. Charles will play Henriette, Alan's (Dohn Norwood) first generation, Haitian American wife.
  • Santana will play Chuleta, Jorge and Frankie's muscle.
AMC's THE WALKING DEAD
  • Robert Patrick and Okea Eme-Akwari have been cast in recurring roles on the drama's expanded tenth season. Patrick starred for two seasons in FOX's The X-Files, four seasons in CBS' The Unit, one season in HBO's True Blood, one season in El Rey's From Dusk Till Dawn and four seasons in CBS' Scorpion. Eme-Akwari recurs on the upcoming third season of Cobra Kai on Netflix.
  • Patrick will play Mays.
  • Eme-Akwari will play Elijah.
THE CW's ALL AMERICAN
  • Alondra Delgado has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. She previously recurred on FX's Mayans MC.
  • She will play Vanessa Montes, the "new girl" at school and the new head coach's daughter. Unapologetic and confident, she doesn't let the extra attention that comes with being the new kid phase her. She has a surprising history with one of her classmates.
HULU's NINE PERFECT STRANGERS
  • Zoe Terakes is set for a recurring role on the upcoming limited series starring Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy. They starred in the eighth season of the Australian drama Wentworth on Fox Showcase.
  • They will play Glory, a young, well-meaning disciple of Masha (Kidman, who works at the wellness center.
DISNEY+'s BIG SHOT
  • Keala Settle and Emery Kelly have scored recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring John Stamos and Jessalyn Gilsig. Settle is best known for starring in the 2017 film The Greatest Showman. Kelly starred for three seasons in Netflix's Alexa & Katie.
  • Settle will play Christina Winters, Destiny's (Tiana Le) mother.
  • Kelly will play Dylan, a high school student who plays basketball on the public court with the girls team.
