Based on the forthcoming novel by Laura Dave, the series follows a woman (Roberts) who forms an unexpected relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter while searching for the truth about why her husband has mysteriously disappeared.
Dave co-created the series with Academy Award winner Josh Singer (Spotlight). They will executive produce with Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Neustadter, Marisa Yeres Gill and Lisa Gillan. 20th Television, Hello Sunshine and Red Om Films will produce.
