THE CW's NANCY DREW
- Aadila Dosani and Praneet Akilla have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Dosani has previously recurred on ABC's A Million Little Things and SundanceTV's Unspeakable. Akilla recurred on Netflix's October Faction.
- She will play Amanda Bobbsey, one half of the Bobbsey Twins. She is charming, but possesses a manic energy and street smarts as a result of growing up poor and on the wrong side of the tracks. Often resorting to petty crimes with her twin brother, she puts herself and her twin above everyone and everything else.
- Akilla will play Gil Bobbsey, the other half of the Bobbsey Twins.
HBO's HOUSE OF THE DRAGON
- Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith and Emma D'Arcy have been cast as series regulars on the Game of Thrones prequel starring Paddy Considine. Cooke starred for five seasons in A&E's Bates Motel and in the Amazon limited series Vanity Fair. Smith starred for three seasons in BBC America's Doctor Who and two seasons in Netflix's The Crown. D'Arcy starred in the Netflix limited series Wanderlust and in the first season of Amazon's Truth Seekers.
- Cooke will play Alicent Hightower, the daughter of Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, and the most comely woman in the Seven Kingdoms. She was raised in the Red Keep, close to the king and his innermost circle. She possesses both a courtly grace and a keen political acumen.
- Smith will play Prince Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother to King Viserys Targaryen (Considine) and heir to the throne. A peerless warrior and a dragonrider, he possesses the true blood of the dragon. But it is said that whenever a Targaryen is born, the gods toss a coin in the air.
- D'Arcy will play Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king's first-born child. She is of pure Valyrian blood, and she is a dragonrider. Many would say that Rhaenyra was born with everything - but she was not born a man.
ABC's BIG SKY
- Sharon Taylor has landed a recurring role on the drama's first season. She has previously starred in the Canadian dramas Bellevue and Bad Blood. She has also recurred on Syfy's Ghost Wars and Netflix's Altered Carbon.
- She will play Elena Sosa, a decorated twenty year veteran of the Montana Highway Patrol. She has worked her way up the ranks to her current status as Commander. She considers herself a community police officer, and takes that role seriously in her efforts to keep the streets and citizens of Montana safe. She is also a proud member of Montana's indigenous community, and will work with Cassie (Kylie Bunbury) and Jenny (Katheryn Winnick) to bring the kidnappers to justice.
AMAZON's UPLOAD
- Josh Banday has been promoted to series regular on the comedy's upcoming second season. He recurred throughout the first season - appearing in seven episodes overall.
- He plays Ivan, who works the night shift at Horizen and takes over for Nora (Andy Allo) when she is done with her shift.
