Paramount+ - the forthcoming rebrand of the streaming service CBS All Access - has today confirmed a series order for the original limited series The Offer, with Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name) set to play the lead role. The series will produce 10 episodes.
The limited series is based on the Oscar-winning producer Al Ruddy's (Hammer) never before revealed experiences of making the iconic 1972 film The Godfather directed by Francis Coppola and adapted from Mario Puzo's best-selling mob novel.
Michael Tolkin (Escape at Dannemora) is writing the series. He will executive produce with Ruddy, Nikki Toscano and Leslie Greif. Paramount Television Studios will produce.
