Netflix has today given a series order to the original animated comedy series Farzar created by Roger Black and Waco O'Guin - the creators of Netflix's Paradise PD, which returns for its third season later this year. The new series will produce 10 episodes for its first season.
The outrageous sci-fi comedy follows Prince Fichael and his crew as they venture out of their domed human city to fight the evil aliens that want to kill and/or eat them. As they begin their journey, Fichael quickly discovers that all is not what it seems and he may be living a lie.
Black and O'Guin will executive produce with Marc Provissiero, Scott Greenberg and Joel Kuwahara. Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment and Bento Box Entertainment will produce in association with Netflix.
"Roger and Waco have a signature brand of humor that animation fans around the world love," said Mike Moon, Head of Adult Animation, Netflix. "We are delighted to continue to develop more adult animation titles with these two very prolific creators."
