SPECTRUM's BEACON 23
- Lena Headey will star in and executive produce the upcoming drama created by Zak Penn. She previously starred for eight seasons in HBO's Game of Thrones, receiving five Emmy Award nominations for her performance.
- She will play Aster, who mysteriously finds her way to a lonely beacon keeper, Halan, on his lighthouse in the darkest recesses of space. A tense battle of wills unfolds as Halan begins to question whether Aster is friend or foe as her ability to disguise her agenda and motives could make her a formidable opponent.
EPIX's GODFATHER OF HARLEM
- Justin Bartha, Annabella Sciorra, Ronald Guttman, Gino Cafarelli, Isaach De Bankolé, Clifford "Method Man" Smith, Michael Rispoli and Neal Matarazzo will appear in recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Bartha starred for two seasons in CBS All Access' The Good Fight. Sciorra has recurred on AppleTV+'s Truth Be Told and Netflix's GLOW. Guttman has recurred on AMC's Preacher and Amazon's Hunters. Cafarelli has guest starred on Showtime's Ray Donovan and ABC's For Life. De Bankolé has guest starred on Facebook's Sacred Lies and CBS' S.W.A.T. Smith currently stars in Starz's Power Book II: Ghost, which has been renewed for a second season. Rispoli starred for three seasons in HBO's The Deuce. Matarazzo has guest starred on CBS' Person of Interest and Showtime's Billions.
- Bartha will play Robert Morgenthau, the patrician, unflinching and incorruptible U.S. District Attorney for the Souther District of New York. He is a deeply moral man, and an absolute killer in the courtroom. From a long line of public servants who are committed to seeing justice done, he hopes to use Bumpy (Forest Whitaker) as an ally in his pursuit of taking down organized crime in New York.
- Sciorra will play Fay Bonanno, the wife of mob boss Joe Bonanno (Chazz Palminteri), who is deeply entrenched in her husband's business, unlike most mafia wives. While she has a traditional reliance on Catholic ritual, she's as cold blooded as they come.
- Guttman will play Jean Jehan, a native Frenchman who is ruthless, intelligent, cultured and extremely dapper. Responsible for the import of heroin between Marseille and the United States known as "The French Connection" - the main supplier of heroin to the Italian mob.
- Cafarelli will play Fat Gino, one of Vincent "The Chin" Gigante (Vincent D'Onofrio) henchmen. A mobster leading the fruitless hunt for Bumpy Johnson, Fat Gino is a die-hard believer in the supremacy of the Mafia and its rules and regulations.
- De Bankolé will play Monsieur 98, an African Frenchman chemist known for producing extremely pure heroin. A man of few words, he is partnered with dope kingpin Jean Jehan to smuggle vast quantities of heroin into the United States.
- Smith will play Sam Christian, the head of the Philadelphia Black Mafia and longtime friend of Bumpy Johnson's. A stylish man about town, he will be a vital part of Bumpy's Ten Harlems heroine distribution network.
- Rispoli will play Joseph Magliocco, who ascended to the head of the Profaci crime family with the help of his friend Vincent Gigante. The jovial Magliocco will face immediate tests of his loyalty among the battling factions of the New York Mafia.
- Matarazzo will play Captain Mills, a symbol of police culture at the time. He is an unrepentant racist but also a pragmatist who puts "green" over black and white.
DISNEY+'s MONSTERS AT WORK
- Mindy Kaling and Bonnie Hunt have joined the voice cast of the upcoming animated series - a sequel to the Pixar films Monsters University and Monsters, Inc. Kaling created and starred in The Mindy Project, which aired for six seasons on FOX and then Hulu. Hunt will reprise her role from Monsters, Inc.
- Kaling will play Val Litle, an enthusiastic member of the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team.
- Hunt plays Ms. Flint, who was formerly in charge of training new Scarers at Monsters, Inc. but will now manage the department responsible for recruiting and training the funniest monsters to become Jokesters.
USA's THE SINNER
- Alice Kremelberg has been cast as a series regular on the drama's upcoming fourth season. She previously recurred on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black. She also appeared in the Netflix film The Trial of the Chicago 7.
- She will play Percy Muldoon, a tough and charismatic young woman born into a prominent fishing family on Deer Island in Northern Maine. Having excelled in the largely male world of lobster fishing, her even-keeled demeanor is forever altered by a horrific tragedy that throws her life off course.
